Hi! I'm Shelley.

I am psychotherapist from the UK, living and licensed in the state of Arizona. My experience is drawn from an extensive background in childhood education, working with the US military, first responders, and the medical and geriatric community. My husband and children would describe me as a terrible singer, someone who loves everything clean, and a person who loves nature, particularly the birds on my feeder.

My Motivations

As someone who has overcome a lot of personal hurdles, there is nothing more meaningful to me than being able to assist others with what I have learnt. Even if that is helping them find solace and strength in their darkest moment at the bedside with a dying family member or overcoming the loss a relationship. I have many interests in this field, my area of specialty is working with anxiety based, “Type A” personality types who are often, perfectionists, overachievers, and people pleasers.

My Approach

My therapeutic approach is compassionate but direct, sprinkled with a bit of humour. I value an authentic relationship; therefore, it is important that you feel safe and can be vulnerable with me. I am results driven, so I utilize evidence based, solution-focused therapy models. My preference is the gold standard of treatment, which is the Cognitive Behavioral model due to its common-sense approach. I integrate it with its second and third wave approaches such as Schema therapy to provide clients with life changing, lasting results. I look forward to working with you.
