Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a straightforward therapy that examines how our negative thoughts (cognitions) impact our emotions and behaviors. CBT is successful in treating a wide range of psychological symptoms and disorders from the low-grade stressors of everyday life to extreme anxiety, anger management, and chronic mood disorders such as treatment-resistant depression, bi-polar, and schizophrenia.

Length of treatment
Because CBT is a problem-orientated therapy it’s treatment can be delivered in a short format lasting 5-20 sessions, or longer to treat multiple chronic,.reoccurring conditions.
Schema Therapy (ST)
Schema Therapy, a third wave cognitive behavioral model was developed to effectively treat clients with challenging personality styles who failed to respond to traditional cognitive behavioral therapy alone. It strategically integrates the cognitive and behavioral models with gestalt and emotion-focused therapies to reduce symptoms, improve functioning, and provide clients with life-long results.

Length of treatment
Because Schema therapy is aimed at targeting treatment resistant disorders, its duration is dependent on the motivation of the client and can last from 20 sessions up to 2 years.
Acceptance and commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT is a game changing, third wave cognitive behavioral therapy that emphasizes the importance of acceptance, mindfulness, and being present to increase mental flexibility. ACT is an action orientated approach that assists clients in making peace with life stressors by incorporating techniques that allow the client to observe their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. ACT’s main goal is to teach people how to be the master of their own internal processes so they can realize their valued future self.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT):
DBT is a highly effective third wave cognitive behavioral therapy that focuses on managing intense, negative emotions. DBT assists people with being able to live in the moment, cope with stress in a healthy way, improve relationships, and identify the benefits of change.
The most notable DBT techniques are:
- Mindfulness - being present in the moment.
- Distress tolerance - understanding and managing emotions in stressful situations.
- Interpersonal effectiveness - learning how to ask for what you need in a respectful way.ing emotions in stressful situations.
- Emotional regulation - gaining insight and control over emotions.

Length of treatment
DBT works extremely well with challenging personality traits, it takes at least six months to a year to see a reduction in symptoms and involves weekly sessions that last between 40-60 minutes.
Gottman Couples Therapy: Level I & II
The Gottman method is an extremely effective model for helping couples heal. Grounded in decades of research, it provides couples with a roadmap of techniques that are essential for strengthening a relationship. The Gottman method focuses on dismantling negative and unhealthy communication, increasing intimacy, removing barriers that hinder growth, and evoking a heightened sense of empathy and understanding of the relationship.

Exposure & Response Prevention ERP
Exposure and Response Therapy (ERP) is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the established protocol of treatment for addressing symptoms related to obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), phobias, anxiety and eating disorders. With the assistance of your therapist, it involves a two-step process. First the graduated exposure to an avoided object or situation that causes discomfort. Then the response prevention phase of treatment that enables the client to let go of the compulsive behaviors, or intrusive thoughts that follow that exposure.

ERP can be utilized in addition to cognitive behavioral therapy, it allows a client to process and cope with their obsessive thoughts, behaviors and situations in real-time while in a safe environment with their therapist. ERP can be performed virtually through guided in-vivo (imagined) exposure during session however, it works best if we arrange to meet in-person.
